A look into Better Call Saul    Plot-  Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould developed the American crime drama television series Better Call Saul. It's a prequel, sequel, and spin-off to Gilligan's earlier series, Breaking Bad. The series follows Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), an idealistic lawyer and former con artist, as he transforms into a greedy criminal defense attorney known as Saul Goodman. It is set mostly in the early to the middle portion of the first decade of the 2000s in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The moral deterioration of retired cop Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who becomes entangled with The Cartel and Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) to support his granddaughter and her bereaved mother, is also depicted. Until their individual tales completely merge, Jimmy and Mike's meetings are rare. Cinematography-   The cinematography of the show is one of the best parts in my opinion. Vince Gilligan who directs most of the episodes likes to use a lot of wide shot...

Wednesday Asynch Assignment- Blog Post

I will be sticking with my display plans what I have already made. Though, instead of making a cut out for the computer, I will be just putting an end-table on the outside of the carboard. I will be printing out seven different pieces for my display. 1 from "The Wheel of Pain," 3 from "Monkey Business 2" and 3 from "Writer's Block" (The film I'm working of right now). I will be playing these three films on the computer and maybe the short final film we make later on. I will probably cut up "The Wheel of Pain" video because it is too long. I will try and make it 10 to 12 minutes.

The first classmate's blog I looked at was Cory McCabe's. I also always wanted to do a documentary type of film either one that is serious like Cory's or a fake funny one where everything including the answers was scripted. I didn't think I would be able to pull on-off with just the little resource that I have, but Cory has changed my mind with his great work on his own documentary. Cory showed that even with a small budget you could make a great documentary. You need to have an interesting subject and be able to come up with good questions. In a future film, I may try and do a documentary of my own. The second peer's blog that I looked at was Sean Hopkins.  I liked how for his film, he based the visual around the audio. Meaning that everything depended on the audio, the length of time clips, as well as the order in which clips were shown, were adjusted to meet the narrative and sound design he had. I am doing something like this for my next film already with a voic...

Intention Definition & Exploration of ideas: Careful analysis and attention have been given to finding an area of digital media to begin a focus on.  - My theme is Representations of Everyday Life - I always wanted to do some sort of talk show or game show for a film. Something I could do with my friends and be able to do stupid things. What gave me this inspiration or idea was the show I watch called "The Eric Andre Show" The show is a fake talk show where literally anything happens. They get real guests to come onto the show and then Eric Andre messes with them the entire time. My plan was to do something like this but I thought it would be more interesting and different if I did a game show instead of a talk show.  Planning: What to do. Making and communicating divisions; how to implement them, and projecting their consequences.  - First I wrote down the different punishments that I would use for the Wheel of Pain. I had to think of things that I could actually d...
